Why is God so mad at the US?

I mean you have unprecedented tornadoes in the north east, historic fires in Arizona, historic flooding along the Mississippi! My part of the midwest just had one of the wettest Mays on record and farmers are just now getting their crop in the fields - unheard of! Why is the almighty punishing us?
