What movie am I thinking of?

It's a football movie about a rb who transfers to a college I don't really remember it very well the rb i can't think of the name hes a famous actor he was willie mays hayes in major league.. hallee berry is also in it who he has a romance with.. and the rb has problems in school and hallee berrys character is really smart and is his tutor and her boyfriend gets all jealous and the rb fumbles a lot so he has to carry the football around the whole school all day... help someone lol
